Joey's Foundation has strategically designed camps to accomodate the many ages and personalities of attending youth. These camps allow each student to grow personally, have fun adventures and meet new friends. There is nothing like catching your very first fish, or your second, or your third! Check out our different programs and see which one is right for your child. All summer camps are generally scheduled June through late August.
Little Camps for Little Fisherman is an introductory mentoring program designed for younger youth ages 5-8. This hands-on adventure introduces the youngest students to the wonderful sport of fishing, including technique, environmental awareness and safety. Parent participation is required for this mini class.
4-day Summer Camp is our custom mentoring camp designed for ages 9-18. This special and exciting week introduces the many aspects of fly fishing including fly tying, knots, trout habitat and more along with educational field trips and guest speakers. Students will enjoy fun fishing trips to some of the area’s most beautiful local and private waters.
Just for Girls allows girls to be girls! With the help of some of the area’s leading lady fly fishing experts and Foundation Staff and Volunteers, this camp will help participating young ladies personally grow, learn and have amazing experiences. This special camp promotes community involvement and encourages participants to "give back".
The Adrenaline Camp is a week-long camp for returning and preapproved participants, ages 12-18. This is an earned camp and includes advanced fly fishing fundamentals, more adventurous excursions and generally overnight camping trips. Special emphasis is given to group community service projects and youth mentoring training.
